There are various pollutants in the hydraulic system medium, the most important one is solid particles, in addition, there are water, air and harmful chemicals, etc., and the pollutants mainly come from the following aspects:
1. Self-pollution
Contaminants such as swarf, welding slag, paint, sealant or other fibers will remain during the manufacturing and assembly process.
2. Normal pollution
Usually the cleanliness of the new oil cannot meet the system requirements. Oil can always be contaminated during production, transportation and distribution, so it is also necessary to filter new oil during use.
3. External intrusion pollution
Air breathers, piston rod seals, wiper seals, and element seals can all affect the amount of external ingress contamination.
4. Regenerated particles
Particle regenerated particles are called wear, and the particles generated by the process of metal contact on the surface of the friction pair will affect the cleanliness of the system.
Oil pollution directly affects the reliability of the hydraulic system and the service life of components. According to the data, about 70%-80% of the failures of the hydraulic system are caused by oil pollution. Through reasonable use of filters, various solid particles, air and water pollutants in the oil can be effectively filtered, so that the life of the oil is greatly improved, and the reliability of the system and the service life of the components are guaranteed at the same time.
